ith reference to the powers granted to this
Bank by supplemental Charter dated 15th April, 1922, to
increase its Note Circulation with due notice to H.M.
Treasury up to a total amount of $30,000,000, we bag to
advise that to meet the increasing demand for Bank Notes
in China we „ave authorised our Hongkong Manager that he
may increase his Note issue up to a total of $46,000,000
(say, Twenty six millions), and we have also authorised
the Note legue in North China to the total amount of
$3,500,000. The above increases if fully availed of
will make our total notes in circulation $29,500,000
against the $30,000,000 authorised by Charter.

kindly advise us that the matter is in order.
